Für die kommende Ausstellung „Entaktet Euch!“ rufen St. & St. die
Bürger Berlins auf alte Akten/ Dokumente in die Galerieräume von
stattberlin mitzubringen und sie im Rahmen von Happenings - zum
50-jährigen Fluxus-Jubiläum - gemeinsam durch Aktenschredder zu jagen.
Die vernichteten Dokumente werden daraufhin Teil einer Rauminstallation
erinnernd an den Fluxus-Vorreiter Marcel Duchamp.

Über St. & St.
St. & St. ist der Name des Künstlerteams Stephanie Gerner und
Stephan Halter welches 2009 gegründet wurde. Beide wurden 1977 in
Deutschland geboren und leben und arbeiten in Berlin.
In ihren
Arbeiten hinterfragen sie hierarchische und bürokratische Systeme,
Standardisierung als auch stereotypes Denken, was alles auf
Kommunikation oder auf Kommunikationsschwierigkeiten basiert.
Die Umsetzung dieser Ideen spiegelt sich in St. & St.`s multidisziplinären Arbeiten wider.

For the forthcoming exhibition „Entaktet Euch!“ St. & St. call up
the citizens of Berlin (as well as guests and tourists) to bring their
old files and documents into the galleryspace where they are asked –
within the framework of a Happening celebrating the 50th anniversary of
the Fluxus movement - to put the documents through file shredders.
The „de-filed“ documents will become part of a room-installation reminding on Marcel Duchamp the forerunner of Fluxus.
About St. & St.
St. & St. is the name of the artist team Stephanie Gerner and
Stephan Halter which was founded in 2009. Both were born in 1977 in
Germany and are living and working in Berlin
In their work St. &
St. explore hierarchic and bureaucratic systems, standardization as
well as stereotypical thinking that are all based on communication or
the lack of it.
The transmission of these ideas is witnessed in St. & St.´s multidisciplinary practice.
